The end of DST makes me sad

Switching back to "standard time" is sort of the official end of cycling season for me. While its been too dark to ride after work for a month, changing the clocks makes that so much more apparent. Yesterday I dragged my butt down to the basement for a Zwift session after months of my trainer collecting cobwebs. I really need to win the lottery and buy a second home where its warm

I hate DST regardless of outdoor activities. Just end it already and stay on standard time.

Actually, there has been talk of the opposite. I like DST. In the peak of summer it means I can ride until almost 8pm. How can that be a bad thing?

Come to Arizona! You can ride year round and get the bonus of not having to worry about time changes. We don't do that here.

I have to say you make a compelling argument...

Or Hawaii. This time of year with football, the difference is that instead of NFL starting at 7:00 AM Sunday, now it's 8:00.

Haha, yep. I read that the original idea called for changing the clocks 32 times per year! Sometimes as little as 5 minutes. How stupid would that have been?

I'm just glad I don't live near a time-zone line. Some ppl in some fairly big metro areas do... drive a few miles, and the time suddenly changes.

That would confuse the living heck out of me.
