shot a bunch of college boys

They deftly manouever and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank,
Reckless and wild as they pour thru the turns,
Their prowess is potent and secretly stern.
    ...

The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup,
But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns,
    And thinking of someone...

    for
    whom
    he
    still
    burns.

had the tongue in cheek. I hate these new smilies though. Think of me as the female Mr. Grumpy. He's my hero whom I strive to emulate in all things.

    Hey LFR,
Just checked out your blog, nice photos there, especially the emcee one. You sound like me with your new photo hobby; once I start on something, I usually go all out. Good on you.

thank you! The shot of Dave was pure serendipity, I just happened to be shooting a sequence and it was the only one that came out. Gotta love the autoadvance on the D70 tho; with my fast cards it'll shoot 3-4 fps until the card fills up.

I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker,
And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker,
And in short, I was afraid.

    Imminent cougar attack?

    LFR:

All I can think about is those poor, innocent (Golden) Buffalos, (Wyoming) Cowboys, and other unaware critters about to get pounced on by a wily predator. Please don't bag more than your appetite can, uh, er, handle. (Insert smiley thing here)

    E E/G# A

What does it mean when it says E/G#? Do you slide from E to G#?

//strummer played a telecaster as well....
I could be wrong. Been a while since I thought about this, bt I'm pretty sure it means an E shape with a G# root. Often appears as a transitional chord between the two chords

    ie: E E/G# E
Might be achieved by playing the E and hammering the G# root. Etc...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

... Jones palyed a Les Paul, though, and he was the better player
    ... and so it goes

The little bugger AKA "The Munchkin" said she was ready for her "big girl bike." It's a Schwinn Lil Tiger that was her mom's. Still a fixed gear too. She had me give away her tricycle on Craig's list so "some little kid can have it."

Good thing we're in the lounge, or I'd be afraid to bring up the NNC content.

IME anything under the age of oh, let's say 25 is a monumental pain in the ass. never messed with 'em back when I *was* that age, why would I start now? Oh, sure they're fun to look at, but that's about it.

A lecher? A dirty old man? A perv? Michael Douglas? Words fail me.

As "HI" (Nick Cage's character) says in Raising Arizona, "That's one bonehead word, but that ain't me." I concur with you, LFR, that gals in that age group are nuttin' but trouble. I once again work on a college campus (the restraining order expired, I guess) in a largely female academic field. Lots of purty young gals around. Easy to look at; hard to listen to.

Now show me a nice lookin' woman of experience and maturity, say around 40 or older, and then your talkin'! French guys are way ahead of the curve on this; they worship Catherine Deneuve.

    that would make sense..

re: Les Paul--kid tried one and it was a freakin boat anchor compared to the Tele--short scale, but my fingers are pretty long and thin so that shouldn't be an issue for me--thinking about getting one of those cheap Agile LP copies someday from the Rondomusic site that J's got his bass kit from. For the $$ people rave about them.
