No one is as bad as the worst thing they have done & no one is as good as the best thing they have done.........think of that when you feel like you understand someone.

My name is Bill, I am 41 and live in the LOVELY Santa Monica mountains of southern California. Am a relatively new transplant to the area so, if there are any of you yahoos that want to get out for a spin sometime, send me a message! The bike has been part of my life since 1986, when I got my first mountain bike, and has blossomed into almost 20 years of racing, thousands and thousands of kilometers of smiles and a career. I have been in pain when I got off the bike but I have never been less happy than when I got on it, the effort and fresh air have always made my life better/more tolerable/easier...my main road ride is a 2010 TCR Advanced SL and my main mountain bike is a clapped out old Trance X that is in DIRE need of replacement. My profession? There is no easy way to explain other than bringing ideas to life.
My question? Hmmm...where has your bike taken you? Physically, metaphorically, whatever. The bike has taken me to a level of fitness than the average American in their 40's probably doesn't have, has given me a career, introduced me to my wife of ten years and taken me around the world.
While my best results were on the road and the time split between the road and the mountain bike is close to 70/30, I have to admit that if I could only choose one, I would take the mountain bike...yeah, yeah I know this is RBR and not MTBR.
