Is Facebook the same thing as Twitter?

Because I think that it is.

I have NEVER even looked at Twit and visit my facebook account MAYBE once a week just to wonder why I have it at all.
    Of course I'm sure...that doesn't mean I'm right.....

Like the grand master flash of the Philippines once said:

    Same, same but different.

Google+ is (currently) the geeks'/nerds' amalgamation of both.

Facebook does have something that Twitter doesn't have though...

It's much easier to be completely self-absorbed with Twitter.
You'd be better off with a netbook, they do everything better.

I don't know, I am fine with Facebook, but I refuse to "tweet" someone unless I get them drunk first.

For me they serve very different purposes.

FB is for keeping up with people I actually know. Looking at pictures of their kids, reading messages about when/where some one is riding, if our softball game is off b/c of afternoon thunderstorms, etc.

I use Twitter more for finding out what celebs, athletes, causes I don't actually know are up to. It can be interesting, fun, or annoying. I like it regardless. It's something to read on my phone when I'm bored.

Twitter is facebook without the pictures of skanks and stupid games, and organization.

People tweet so much it's difficult to wade through the crap, but I still like it.

Because you can interact with people who don't care about NNC. For me that includes all of my family and 80%-ish of my real life friends.

Amen. My family is on it, so I am on it.

I like RBR as a way to post *away* from people I know in "real life." For that reason, it's more like the opposite of FB! Great company, conversation, and objective viewpoints.

Considering Google+ for the FB experience without the complete exposure to the entire planet. Besides, I'm a nerd so it would probably suit me fine.

Facebook isn't like Twitter but Myspace is pretty much the same as Friendster (i.e. dead).
