    Forever Stamps

After a bit of a lull, USPS has a ton of limited edition forever stamps out right now that are pretty cool thanks to some big anniversaries.

Some that I just picked up:
    -"Wild and Scenic Rivers"
    -USS Missouri
    -First Moon Landing (50th Anniversary)
    -Sesame Street (50th Anniversary)
    -Transcontinental Railroad (150th Anniversary)

I used to love collecting stamps when I was a kid. Fun times! I still have my albums and a ton of old plate blocks. 🙂

Regarding the Forever stamps, I made the mistake of buying some at Costco. Instead of a sheet of 20 stamps, they sold me 10 sheets of 20 stamps! I use like 6 stamps a year so I figure Im set for stamps for over 30 years now. Ill be in my 80s the next time I need to buy more stamps. 😁

You're sitting on a gold mine. Those stamps will be worth at least 63 each before you know it! And they'll keep going up from there! Ka-ching!

I don't think there are any laws about scalping postage stamps. But certainly check with The Authorities before you start cashing in on your postage bonanza. But don't delay too long. The letter-writing, check-sending grannies and great aunts are going the way of the dinosaur, as are christmas card jockeys.

Actually, for some reason Costco only charged $9.97 for each sheet instead of $10.00. So I could resell the stamps at face value and come out 3 cents ahead for every sheet I sell. According to my fancy math, if I sell 34 million of the sheets of 20 that I buy at Costco, I will come out a little over $1 million ahead. It's easy money, I tell you!

jetdog9, on behalf of SystemShock and myself I want to apologize for taking your simple, unassuming thread about stamps and perverting it as we have.

    No more jokes about philately
    Or stickiness
    Or licking...

    and sticking...

Ha. For the record, I don't keep them, I actually stick them to envelopes.

Thank goodness I don't have to lick them after this thread...

Dude probably found out how much his collection wasn't worth, and decided to monetize it as best he could.
More Americans wanted Hillary Clinton to be President than wanted Donald Trump.
