I hear ya on that. I'm 49 in a few weeks and it is scary how fast time is moving. The only time it slows down is when I get on the trainer.

Stuff breaks but you're wiser about how you break it so it's all good.

I'm 28 and I hear my biological clock ticking.

Or should that maybe be in a different thread?

Found pix of my 40th birthday, and I was SHOCKED...

We're cleaning out a bunch of junk from the garage, and I came across a box of pictures. One envelope was stuff from my 40th birthday party. I remember thinking I wasn't a kid anymore, in fact I was really old...and I was STUNNED to turn over a picture and see a 1985 date stamp on it. The last 23 years have whipped by in about six months....

Mine used to do that. I smashed it with a hammer. I don't hear it anymore.

They can deal. I'm 31 and I've been hitting snooze on mine for a while. It was ticking quite loudly at 28, but if you can ignore it for a year then the ticking will subside significantly.

No, that would cause time to slow down time so drastically as to show immortality as a curse.

    Held within The Pleasure Dome
    Decreed by Kubla Khan
    To taste my bitter triumph
    As a mad immortal man
    Nevermore shall I return
    Escape these caves of ice
For I have dined on honey dew
And drunk the milk of Paradise

I think that when Neil Peart wrote this, dining on honey dew and milk of Paradise was clearly meant as a metaphor for riding on the trainer.

Actually it was Coleridge...Peart just nicked it.

    Not nicked, adapted.

Coleridge's poem "Kubla Khan" does not have immortality (and thus, trainers) as a theme. Hence my reference to Peart and not Coleridge.

I'll be 52 in a couple of weeks. I still act like I'm 13 though. Too bad I always feel like I got hit by a truck in the middle of the night when I wake in the morning.

64 now, 40 seems oh so young. Thinking of applying for Sociable Security in a couple years, but am kinda' afraid of retirement. I can only spend so much time fishing and riding my bike.
