    Lounge Kit Curse...

    strikes again!

coming down Trash Truck hill in Griffith Park, doin' about 35,
    and BANG! blowout front tire.

thanks to my _brilliant_ handling skills, i was able to avoid
going to the Hospital and get the bike stopped without dumping it.

front tire(conti Attack Black Chili) has a weird cut on it on the
    sidewall.

is it because i _didn't_ wear the lounge socks with the kit Wednesday?

The lounge curse isn't. My best day on BikeVa was the day I wore my lounge kit. The first day I didn't I broke a spoke and got a flat, I wasn't wearing my lounge kit.. But I didn't have my lucky gel along so that may have contributed to the problem.

I have a gel I've carried for about 6 months in case I bonk. I haven't needed it and the label is about worn off, thus the lucky gel. It is suspicious that we had more bike problems in 5 days than we've had in the last few years. I'm taking the gel with me next time.

I wouldn't blame the jersey - I'd blame the tire, and maybe you for not seeing the obstacle which caused it. Ihavent had any issues since I started wearing it.

Maybe you should try to avoid things like curbs, big rocks, stuff like that that cut side walls. Moreon. Oops, did I say that out loud?
