Mario Cipollini charged with domestic violence and stalking accusations

I've met the guy at a party about 15 years ago. I thought he was a completely dumb douche, he could barely speak correct italian.
He assaulted his ex wife multiple times and threathened her current husband. He'll never get jail time but hopefully his ex wife will clean him up real good.
Maybe if he'd finally come out gay he'll be set for good with his inner issues..

Just don't buy bikes from this sucker anymore, will 'ya ? They're shitty looking anyway...

    Article is in italian,sorry.

The prosecutor of Lucca, Sara Polino, has requested the indictment of the former cycling champion Mario Cipollini , accused of mistreatment and persecutory acts against his ex-wife, Sabrina Landucci , sister of Marco Landucci, former goalkeeper of Inter and Fiorentina and current coach in second Juventus, and threats against the woman's partner, Silvio Giusti, former player of Chievo, Siena and Luccehse. The preliminary hearing was set for March 20 next before the court of Lucca.

The facts contested by Cipollini's accusation date back to December 2016 and January 2017 . The investigation was initiated following the complaint filed by the ex-wife on January 9, 2017. In the request for indictment, the prosecutor writes that Cipollini would have carried out "a series of acts damaging the physical and psychological integrity" of the ex-wife " with fists, slaps, kicks, with injuries and death threats " .

amazing how women are so frequently defined as the men they have associated with or related to. As for Marco... met him once, briefly. Pretty much an empty celebrity living on his past.

I've got a friend who has relatives in the area in Italy where Cipo lives. This happened several years ago when the guy was still racing, but his career was almost over. He was motor pacing out in the country and had stopped by the side of the road. My friend's relatives pulled over and accidently knocked Cipo off his bike. He got up. His jersey was torn. They profusely apologized. Offered to buy him a new jersey. No need, I have many he said. Oh, do you race for a bike team they asked? The pace car driver came up and exclaimed 'do you know how that is?!!!!" Cipo suddenly go pissed, told them they were stupid and that he wanted money for the jersey. They paid him, and drove off.

Moral of the story ... Mario Cipollini -- you can run him over. You can tear his clothes. But you better be damn sure you know who he is.

How can anyone explain something you love to do. If the side result is a great rider, albeit, you're still in love with the bicycle and the sport of bicycling.

Edited to get to the point.

Even if he is a douche, Super Mario is the only man who could rock the zebra kit.

In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
Ben Franklin -Tis curious and amazing to observe how distinct and independent of each other the rattles of this animal are, and yet how firmly they are united together

I always kinda like Cipollini. The outfits he'd show up in were hilarious. And the UCI would always whack with a withering 50 euro fine. He was a showboat, and he knew it. The guy was a pretty good sprinter in his day. And I think for the most part, sprinters tend to be dicks. So he wasn't any worse than most of them. Ya gotta love the zebra outfit.

Ah god, ya gotta love that. And I bet he came in about 110 place in that time trial. I remember he'd win some of the sprinter stages in the TDF, but as soon as the race hit the mountains, he'd get the flu.
