    NFL Preseason Pics thread

Well...it's finally here. The first game is tonight, the rosters are (more or less set) and it's time.

So now that we know who is on whose teams, what are your preseason pics for the playoffs and SB?

    Mine

    AFC

    Division winners
    Pittsburgh
    New England
    Houston
    San Diego

    Wild Cards
    Jets
    Baltimore

    NFC

    Division Winners
    Arizona
    Green Bay
    Atlanta
    Dallas

    Wild Cards
    Philadelphia
    New Orleans

    Super Bowl

    Atlanta and San Diego
    Winner Atlanta

Eagles will start slow and gain momentum. Rams will be lucky to be 2-5 after 7 games...killer schedule. Detroit will be better, but schedule will kill them.

    So what say you all.

    Len, you're dead to me.

I understand not picking the Eagles, but the Cowboys? I wouldn't be able to pick them even if I thought they'd win.

But I really don't think they'll win? Is Tony Romo suddenly going to get better?

Assuming the Eagles start slow.......who else do you pick to win the East? The Giants have gone backward. Dallas played the last half of last year at 5-3 without Romo. I think both they and the Eagles vie for the division with the loser getting the Wild Card.

I actually think that if the Eagles win this weekend they could easily win their first 6 games.

I think the most likely scenario is that they are 6-2 in their first 8.

I agree with the logic of "if the Eagles don't win the East than who will?", but there is no way I could actually ever put it in writing. I think I'd have to just be wrong and pick the Redskins.

I see that the Panthers, my son's favorite team, are the longest shot to win it all. He seems to think that by adding Cam Newton they will be Super Bowl contenders.

    My son is delusional.

    LOL.

I think between the offensive and defensive line changes, the new personnel & the rookie linebackers, that the Eagles really look ugly in the first few games. It's wouldn't surprise me at all if they were 2-4 or 3-3 after 6.......but once they start playing better, look out in Nov & Dec.

I have the CowGirls losing the first playoff game...so there is that.

I think the defense will be problematic at first too. I'm worried about safeties and linebackers being able to stop the opponents running game, I just believe the Eagles will out score them.

If they have to max protect on offense just to support the young line, I still think they will be able to score a lot of points. Ronnie Brown will help with the power running game which has been all but absent in the Reid era and Smith will help as a receiver that can go over the middle.

I won't actually follow much football until the Phillies are done, and the Eagles do scare me for many of the reasons you mentioned, I just think they are better than most especially since there was no off season.

Funny how you pick SD to make it all the way. I like the team, but they always seem to miss out in the end. A lot of people think they're way overrated, I don't. Seeing Houston as divisional champs is finally becoming a reality. Dallas, on the other hand, I don't think they'll do as good as many people are predicting.
I wonder if some team(s) will play intentionally too rough when it comes to playing against the Jets, as they're a dirty team anyway.

If Newton turns out to be a bust, like Clausen was last year, maybe they'll be so bad that they can draft Andrew Luck next year!

I actually think Newton will be a good one down the road, but there are holes all over that team. Rivera is known for defense...he should get started there and hope Cam comes along.

Looks like Manning had another neck surgery today. The Colts' hopes just went down the crapper if that's true.

Nah, I still will keep them. I picked DET as a WC because whoever gets in that spot won't make it past the first game. Plus, it'd be surprising for that team to make that big of an improvement.

    Nice thread

    AFC
    Division winners:
    Steelers
    Patriots
    Texans
    Chargers

    Wild Cards:
    Jet
Browns (YES, I think they might edge out Baltimore...I realize it's a crazy pick, but I have questions about Baltimore, and Cleveland has a ridiculously easy schedule until week 11.)

    NFC
    Division Winners:
    Rams
    Packers
    Saints
    Eagles

    Wild Cards:
Lions (DO not discount this team.....I can't believe I am saying this, but this team has a TON of talent)
    Falcons

    Super Bowl:

    Patriots- Saints

Too soon to pick a winner.....
