Halfpint, the Poodle-mix rescue (while on the bike). Six pounds of boundless energy. We guesstimate about 1-1/2 years old. Lounging in front of the fireplace...

Biscuit as a young frisky guy. This is the only type ball he would actually play with. He didn't play "fetch" like a normal dog -- he played "keep away"!

Biscuit to this day swears he didn't destroy this pillow.

But loves riding in the car. "Puppies in the back seat!"

Is it an illusion or has Clarence really grown since then?

This is Tiger aka Le Tigre aka Not My Cat. He belonged to my landlady's son, who left him behind when he moved to Kauai.

He's a sweet cat, although every once in a while he'll get a crazed look in his eye and bite me. I don't quite get cats.

This picture was taken in the Summer of 2010 when the poodle was 12 years old and the chihuahua was one year old. The poodle is the "family dog" and the chihuahua technically is my youngest daughter's dog. But my youngest daughter is away at school, so both dogs are living with me. The poodle has slowed down a lot in the last year but she still chases but never catches rabbits and squirrels. I was opposed to my daughter's getting the chihuahua, but he has grown on me.

Nice shots of Maggie, LL. She's a beauty.

Here's Sawyer dog. He's a big goof but we love him to death. He's around 5 years old, hound/pointer mix. Best dog ever.

These are Taco, the black min pin and Slinky the doxie. We lost Taco last year to Cushings Syndrome, and recently found out that Slinky is in the first stages of kidney failure.

Just got a clean bill of health (and a really big bill!) from the vet last night. People can stop calling her obsese: Per the doc, she's "slightly overweight" at 19lbs.

She came into my life the day before my other cat died at the vet, so it was as if she made sure I was never without feline companionship. Semi-feral and ornery, but very sweet with me most of the time.

    What's left of our menagerie
Coco, Shepard/heeler mix. He showed up at our house 12 years ago and never left. Incredibly sweet and not an alpha bone in his body.

Melinda, the shelter called her a "lilac calico." I call it perfect New Mexico camouflage. Like all cats very aloof, until she's not.

And the two parakeets. They pretty much keep to themselves.
