    Thanks, love4himies and Christine.

I forgot to mention the shelter only charges about $60, which covers heart worm testing, spay/neutering, and other basic needs.

Maggie has also become quite a good watch dog, barking only when there's something unique is happening. She love to play with toys and run with the other dogs in the yard.

Our 3 1/2 year old golden, Jason (named after Jason and the Argonauts in search of the golden fleece; he's wearing the fleece). Jason is our third golden, and they have all been magnificent creatures.

Quite a thread dredge, may as well post a pic of our recent 7-8 year old GSD Sophia. She's been running with me, recently did her 3rd 1/2 marathon distance last Saturday. She's fairly homely, but she is "my" dog and I think she's beautiful.

We just don’t realize the most significant moments of our lives when they’re happening
Back then I thought “well there'll be other days”
I didn’t realize that was the only day

    There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
    One.
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

One more. Sophia has mammary cancer, the wife removed a fist-sized chunk from her belly, she is finally healed enough to start short runs again with me, just in time as the temps have been more moderate.

    Pterinochilus murinus
Calperina is a Green Bottle Blue Tarantula -Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
Lucretia is an Antilles Pink Toe - Avicularia versicolor
Mavis is a San Diego Bronze - Aphonopelma Reversum or a California Ebony Aphonoplema Eutylenum

I think I'm traumatized just from looking at the photos! Those spikes on the legs are scary! BTW, this would not be a good time for someone to post snake photos

those aren't on her legs. Those Black Scimitars are/were her fangs. About 3/4" long. Her strikes were faster than a cat and if she sunk those teeth in you you'd be hurting for about a week. Her breed / species is considered an advanced Tarantula because of their aggression, speed and venom. You have to be very careful with them. The Versicolor is mellow but skittish. Won't bite but will flee so handling isn't recommended. The Green Bottle Blue and the San Diego Bronze are super mellow and can be held, allowed to crawl on you. The Green Bottle Blue besides having amazing color are fun because they are very enthusiastic eaters

here's a 'head on' of Agnes in what is referred to as TP or Threat Posture. For the most part she just hung in her burrow, she was like the invisible house mate. She only came out like this when you were working on her habitat and disturbing her

in all honesty, most are about as scary as a fish. I have a wife and a daughter, who are both okay. The T's are actually more my daughters than mine. She was 5 or 6 and said "Dad I want a spider" that's when we wound up with Agnes the OBT. Had her about 6 years. Some T's live up to 30
