I signed in for the first time since ... dunno ... close to five years ... because I heard about this post! ((Hugs))

I suppose that doesn’t make me “still around” in an RBR sense but I’m still kicking.

    Original? Nope.

I like to think I'm new and improved...although I'm really not new nor an improvement in any meaningful way.

I lurk a couple times a week but don't poast much anymore...well, until today. Duh.

Edit: I just realized my avatar was two dogs ago. If that says anything about how recent my RBR poasting activity has been...

I came over her about the time I got a road bike and started riding it more around the melt down. Left when hollywood started the FB thing cause I only had time for it. About twice a year I'll swing by and Mtbeer(~martini~ there) and see whats what.

Man it's good to see MB-1 and LenJ pop in. MB-1 they were asking about you a few weeks ago, someone looking to see what you are up to these days. Len, I miss your posts. Usually the most grounding things on RBR. I do wish they (helloo........) would update things. take care y'all.

I am thrilled to see so many old friends pop up in this thread! I was looking at my contacts on my phone and I realized that I have more Loungers on it than locals! (both phone numbers and email)
    Of course I'm sure...that doesn't mean I'm right.....

On a bicycle related note, those who know me and remember when I first started cycling will be happy to know that I met all my cycling goals. I did 4 major challenges that I never thought I could do. I rode:
    1) Seattle to Portland (STP) which isn't that big of a deal but I actually provide ride support (officially, and yeah, shocks the heck out of me too) by helping people with minor mechanicals, medicals, moral support, etc. Not bad for a girl who didn't know how to change a flat.
    2) Washington Pass up on Hwy 20,
    3) Hurricane Ridge over on the Olympic peninsula, and
    4) RAMROD (Ride Around Mt. Rainier in One Day, 10000 ft of climbing, 150 miles, in 11 hours). And yes, I still find that one hard to believe. I have the patch and witnesses to prove it.
    5) For fun, I rode the Chelan Century also, including the Cat 1 climb of McNeil canyon.

Yeah, I know! Me... The totally inept, unathletic one. Who would have believed it? You all helped me do it. You encouraged me and supported me. I am not sure I ever said thank you, so THANK YOU!
You rock! That is a great list of firsts. You forgot to add the custom bike--not what your average mathematician hops on for a ride!

terry b - still at Intel? and buying 3 or 4 (or more) new bikes every year?
