    Patching a Down Jacket

    I put a hole in my down jacket. Sewing it made it worse. As a temporary measure I put a Park self sticking patch on it. It is working out, but I don't think that it will survive a washing. Since the jacket is nylon, don't think that iron patches would work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I bet the patches work through a couple of washings. How many times do you wash your jacket????? I think I did mine maybe 2/10 years.

    They make patching stuff specifically for that; you can find it at camping supply places. Here's an example, but there are other brands:
