    I know that some of our lwngers will still justify driving drunk, but we need to demonize texting and driving the same as we did drunk driving back 20-30 years ago.

    Not surprising when considering that both the driver and the pedestrian are texting. Fortunately it's difficult to text while riding a bicycle, or fatalities for that demographic would probably be increasing as well.
