    Prince Phillip wrecked his car

I just read that HRH Prince Phillip, age 97, has wrecked his Range Rover. I've seen the pictures; he collided with a Kia, and actually ROLLED his Rover!

So, in a situation such as this, what is the royal protocol? Do you bow as you get out of the wrecked car? Are you permitted to give first aid BEFORE genuflecting?

    A Kia...rolled a Range Rover?

HRH should demand a refund from Range Rover for that indignity. Also 50 lashes.

The women in the Kia should be expecting a big pay day.

dunno 'bout that. That would set precedence opening Royals to perpetual apologies from 'pert near every corner (as a former Colonial power, the family has pizzer'd a good portion of the world). They might get a commemorative t shirt or bumper sticker

Operative word "PRINCE". If you're gonna buy into a monarchy, "No" is prolly not in your vocabulary.

When I'm 97 I plan to drive like a mad man. Speed, crash into stuff on purpose, jump things Evel Knievel style. What can they do to you at that point?

at 91, my dad ran the stop sign that was three houses down from where he lived for 58 years...

totaled a woman's car, but fortunately, no injuries.

when the police arrived, he stated he didn't know he was supposed to stop there...sigh.

there comes a time when people should surrender their driver's license.

    Hope your dad is ok!!!

My Mom is 85 and she thinks she's safer on the highway, yet every time I've ridden with her for the past few years, I have to remind her that 40 MPH ain't gonna cut it in a world that averages 10 MPH over posted.

I went through this about a decade ago, when my dad got lost on the way to his doctor's office. I allowed him one last drive; to his new 'senior living' apartment, with me following him. After that, I took his keys, and brought the car to my house, until my niece could take ownership. She was very happy, and thanked my dad, and he was happy.

I have a mansion, forget the price
Ain't never been there, they tell me it's nice
I live in hotels, tear out the walls
I have accountants pay for it all
They say I'm crazy but I have a good time
I'm just looking for clues at the scene of the crime
Life's been good to me so far
    My Maserati does one-eighty-five
I lost my license, now I don't drive
I have a limo, ride in the back
I lock the doors in case I'm attacked
I make hit records, my fans they can't wait
They write me letters, tell me I'm great
So I got me an office, gold records on the wall
Just leave a message, maybe I'll call
Lucky I'm sane after all I've been through
(Everybody say I'm cool) (He's cool)
I can't complain but sometimes I still do
Life's been good to me so far
I go to parties, sometimes until four
It's hard to leave when you can't find the door
It's tough to handle this fortune and fame
    Everybody's so different, I haven't changed
They say I'm lazy but it takes all my time
(Everybody say oh, yeah) (Oh, yeah)
I keep on going, guess I'll never know why
Life's been good to me so far
    Yeah, yeah, yeah
If your opinion differs from mine, ..........Too bad.

Well, it seems HRH is driving again, with a new Range Rover, pictured by the press not wearing his seat belt. Oh, the joys of royalty.......

I say today the one of the woman in the Kia that broke her wrist is considering a personal injury claim and states the no one has contacted her to express any regret despite the palace reporting that they did

"Considering a personal injury claim"...Makes sense, in that part of the world, unlike this side of the Atlantic, a broken wrist won't cost $20,000USD to fix.

I didn't wait for my mother to kill or injure someone. After her second accident within a few months I sent the NJ MVC copies of the reports and a letter outlining my concerns. They sent her a letter telling her to get a letter from her doctor stating that she was medically fit to drive. Even with her dementia she knew she was done.

I don't know what a 97-year-old driver is doing on the road. Hopefully, he's done too.

Gee, when I learned that little mnemonic back 35+ years ago, he came over from Greece. Since Phillip IS of the extinct Greek royal family, this is the correct version.

I wonder how many identical (to the last detail) Range Rovers Rover has stored in the pipeline just for the Prince? I bet he could pop off at least one per week without missing a beat.

So recent reports suggests that part of Royal Anti Terrorist Training 101 is NOT wearing a seatbelt in order to extricate Royal Ass faster/easier should the need arise.

Yep, if given an hour's head start, I doubt Prince Phillip would be quicker than an average threat!

Still, this IS plausible and IS part of many security services programs for clients like Kim Kardashian and Carrot Top. Course, the unreported Elephant In The Room is where was Prince Phillip's security detail? You know he has one, but they prolly had to remain somewhat "stealthy". I'm guessing that first guy on the scene was part of the team!!!

And, today, Mom said that she now has a driver service!!! Getting her to use it is another battle.
