I thought Led Zepplin was all protective of their music?!?

I thought it was too good to last, after the Isley Bros stopped playing I lost interest fast. Still gotta get some product out to spotty kids in Idaho.

    that cover was years ago...

if LedZep wasn't open to some homage (albeit in an unconventional form here) they would be pretty hypocritical. I am a big fan, but know that a fair portion of their music was wholly or in part borrowed from those that came before them.

I am sure this is easily as different as P. Diddy's version... in the other direction.

Tyler, you are by far the most interesting single-serving friend I have ever met.

For some reason that statement had me laughing uncontrollably. Good one Mr. Bakker.

Dude, that's nuthin'. Puffy (or Diddy, or whatever he's calling himself now... who cares) appeared with Page as the musical act on SNL a number of years back, and absolutely butchered some Zepp song he was ripping off.

I caught the show that week and was so pissed. And the crowd wasn't into it either, they kinda sat on their hands, and Diddy was reduced to pointing to Page and hyping him on the mike to get any kind of applause/reaction.

Diddy flat sucks, no matter who's music he's ripping off. Always has, always will.

On the plus side, the one cool thing he ever did was punch a Sony executive in the face during the big Sony party at the E3 games show one year.

I knew the exec in question, and he was an uber-douche who definitely needed punching (thankfully no longer with the company).

That song couldn't suck harder. Puffy has committed every crime against music that you could imagine.
