    Saw "Shin Godzilla"

Is this movie original? No Way!
Is this a remake? Hell Yeah!

By this admission this movie should sux donkey [email protected] Not!

If your a Godzilla fan, go see it. Much better than the Gareth Edwards reboot. This Japanese (Toho Studios release) stayed really close to the original 1954 "Gojira" (F-CGI! A man in a rubber suit rules!). This is not the mis-understood Godzilla that is a protector of the human race and that only children understand. Nope. This Godzilla awakes and smashes Tokyo. What more do you want.

I wish so much of the movie wasn't spent doing the social commentary about the stupid Americans and the inefficiencies of democracies in regards to inter-department oversight during times of disaster. While it is true, see Katrina and I'm assuming the Japanese reaction to the Tsunami... it took far too much of the movie.

The googly eyed wiggly pupae thing that initially came out of the water was whack. And what the hell was godzilla doing, he seemed to have no purpose. He just wandered around. Why the hell even come out of the water at all. Or... did the disappearing doctor trigger it's release? Unsure that was clear.

    Hey Funk, welcome back.
I thought the government bureaucracy gridlock aspect of the film was kind of humorous. Which government agency is responsible for Godzilla? Still, I have good feelings about this reboot (as long as Americans are not involved).
