So this is what happens when it snows in Tucson...

We actually had a couple inches fall a few days ago....people went nuts. Our police department put together a pretty funny video:

Funny. I'll have to show this to my wife. My FIL was complaining about Tucson's snow when my wife spoke with him last night.

He simmered down once she told him about the 12" we had to shovel earlier in the day, that same amount forecast for tomorrow, and the negative temps we've been dealing with.

I moved to Tucson from Chicago so I know the harshness of winter well. I could never live again in that kind of cold, and am more than willing to deal with the ungodly heat of the Arizona summer here, as a trade off.

Seems most of the TV reporters in Colorado came from warm and flat lands... they get just as excited for every freakin', stinkin' snowstorm... Wish they would all just move back to whatever they came from.

Here in the far northern reaches of the Mojave, we also got about 4" snow.

The school district sent out a notice the day before letting everyone know that school would probably be cancelled. There was some slush in the morning so they started 2 hours late to accommodate the "hazardous" road conditions.

My kids loved it. They built a snowman for the first, and probably last time in their young lives.
