    Team Collin Rides again

Since the lounge is where Team Collin originated, I am posting this here.

    https://www.24foundation.org/24facescancer-team-collin/

Since our origin, we have raised over 100K towards cancer research and individual aid and support.

I flat out suck at fundraising and more often than not I self support, BUT this year is particularly important. My sister is fighting the fight for the 4th time, this time, metastatic, into her bones.

If you have the will and the means, please support the team...any member....it all goes to the same place

This is my page, but again.....any member....any time

Peace and Love brothers and sisters.........

I can't believe that this is our 10th time doing this with the Moreons. And I'm proud to be part of this group of people doing so much good. And as you know Eric, you and your family are in our thoughts. It's incredible the amount that we've raised over the years.

when Collin was rallying the last time, my dad died of lung cancer......This fight is dear to my heart. I haven't been able to ride 10 times, but once again, I intend to ride double my age.....and, that gets harder EVERY YEAR!

The Brotherhood here is incredibly important!

Thank you so very much...the sooner there is a real breakthrough in treatment and control the better.

Good luck to your sister. Metastasis to the bones is daunting stuff.

My wife had breast cancer treated a little over three years ago. Lumpectomy, radiation, a year of chemo; seemed all was good. 15 months ago some scary neuro symptoms (seizure) led to discovery of a brain tumor metastasized from the original cancer. It was apparently confined, and in a pretty operable place, so surgery and then radiation seemed to take care of things.

3 months ago, new neuro symptoms. Now the cancer cells are growing in a new brain space (it's a lepto-meningeal carcinomatosis - cancer cells growing in the cerebro-spinal fluid in the meninges (membrane covering the brain)). More radiation, more chemo, more nasty side effects, iffy prognosis.

Peace and love to all. Enjoy every day you get.

Thanks to our benefactors, Team Collin is once again, the top fundraising team, and we aren't done yet.

There is a reason that I refuse to leave the Lounge in spite of the occasional technical glitches.

This. X 10000000000. I keep waiting for the day when I won't have to put on my Team Collin jersey for anything other than esthetics.
We'll be back soon, there will be more of us, and next time we won't be dropping leaflets.

And ...... it's in the books Team Collin Tied for the top fundraising team (due to a bit of a deal with the second/first/second/first place team. $23,454!) The total for the event was $271,965 of the $250,000 goal! WIN!!!!!

There was a kid, like 10 or 11 raised $1500 for the top money for a kid. He crashed out yesterday and broke his arm. He insisted that his dad get him back to the event to get his award/recognition.

The way Len told the story would beat my version hands down, but Len asked him " Now don't take his the wrong way, but in the future you'll hear this question a LOT. Is The bike ok?"

Apparently, his reply was something to the effect of "Its gonna need some work!!!!!!"

I managed to hit my goal, 132 miles, double my age. The last 10 laps were tough, it was mid to upper 90's and I was starting to resemble a raisin. Laps were 2.66 miles and I swear the got longer and longer , while measuring shorter and shorter. I have absolutely NEVER been that tempted to lie about my age before.

WE have a GREAT team and rode with around 500 other riders.
