There is definitely something wrong with it. European men wear them? Not any I know. (I don't think) Maybe its the ones I don't know? Like, Elton John or Freddie Mercury.

It's the model's pose that slays me. Looks like one of those girlie emblems you see on truck tire flaps.

when I was in jr high one of our teachers had each student try to come up with a marketing campaign to get men to wear pantyhose. the one-pager explained that the nylons kept legs warm and were intended to be used under pants by men who spent time outdoors for their job. We were to market specifically to police and construction workers. Most students just changed the name to "mantyhose," but I changed the name and wanted joe Namath to appear in ads again.
The teacher didn't like the jets and docked me down because, Namath had already appered in nylons" and my idea was not original enough.

This was back in mid-late '80s.

Control top. Are they assuming that men carry extra weight the same as women? Control top for men would have to have arm holes.

    I'm holding out for boxerhose.

"European men have been sporting hose for several years", oh really? This is the first time I've heard about them. I prefer to wear leggings, thank you very much.

I don't get the full leg thing. If someone needs "support" I'd think that boxer-briefs would to the trick. If that wasn't enough there's always compression shorts, though I don't think any human male could sport those things morning to night.

yeah its probably time I take these things off, new year and all...

    BAM!

actually I have bought some "big girl" hose before for colder races when I wanted to wear a goofy kit like cutoffs. Me and my "Mandem" partner both wore some when we raced off-road tandem at Sea Otter. nttawwt.

they actually worked as far as warmth goes.

I know some cowboys who wear them. They are warm, and prevent chafing when riding horses for extended periods of time. I understand it is quite common, although most won't admit it.

Endurance Motorcycle Riders also wear them for the same reason as Horseback riders. But you will never get them to admit it.

Some people with poor circulation do need support hose.
