Emilia Earhart, Atchison, KS on June 26th
Anyone know anyting about this ride?? I know KS is supposed to be flat, but how flat would the 100 mi course be?

Hotter than Hell is flat. This is not flat.

I never did that ride. I did do the Tour of the Seven Cities which starts in Leavenworth but otherwise rode and raced on those roads and the roads in nearby Missouri on a constant basis for about a year.

I wouldn't describe that area as flat. The roads are rolling and some of those rollers can be quite steep. It's not so much the the length of them but the fact that there are so many of them. The route profile probably looks like a rapid heartbeat.

    Amelia Earhart, dude.
Yeah, what DZ said. This is NOT a flat course. Nothing huge, but lots of 'em, and some with enough gradient and length that you'll be looking to tap the heels of your ruby slippers.

Oh, and the name's Amelia Earhart, not Emilio Estevez or whatever.

    OK, spelling, -10 points
Thanks for the info. The forecast on high temps will probably guide my decision on chooing the 62 or 100 mile option.
