Deep Down Quotes 09/10/05 10:06 PST

""Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather, ask what you can do for your country." Great words from a Liberal hero of the lefties. Geez, to think Democrats used to actually make sense.

Being poor is the opportunity to become rich.

Being poor is a disease and hard work is the cure.

Being poor is an ailment and education can put it into remission.

Being poor is not an excuse to be stupid.

Being poor is not an excuse to put your hand out non-stop.

Being poor in America means you have more than 99% of the FREE WORLD.

99% of the FREE WORLD would love to be poor in America.

Being poor is no reason to sit and bury your head in the sand when Katrina is staring at you.

Katrina killed many, not you, me or any Government. Did any Government take blame for the tidal wave that killed thousands? And wasn't a warning given to those governments???

Democrats have an inner DNA strand of weakness in which they need to blame someone for their kid not making the Junior High baseball team, yup and cause of that, there are no more 'cuts' on local Public School teams...there are no more tryouts...how dare the coach cut my Johnny!!!

Liberals want everyone to own 2.5 kids, make $35K, own one car and recycle all their garbage. Oh wait, Liberals can also fly their Gulfstream Jets from Hollywood and DC, drive their SUVS around town, but yooooouuu cannot!!!

    Liberals love Fidel Castro.

Liberals want all racers who enter the TdF to each win one stage! Yeah!!!

Liberals think Socialism ain't that bad and...Communism has a lot of merit, it was just mis-used.

Liberals think that ALL road cyclists should ride fixed-gears...why those with 10 speeds are not being fair to those with 9 speeds.

Liberals want to ban compact cranksets...why those physics are not fair to all!!!!

Again, 99% of the Free World would love to be a poor American. Say that 100 times."

The Message Board Posting Guidelines don't stipulate how many posts an indivdual can make during specific period of time. If they were exactly the same over and over again to bump up to the top of the board that would be breaking the rules. However, each post is made at a different time and contains a new or unique quote by a unique person and is only posted once on the PO board only. The only thing that is the same is the theme Deep Down Quotes. It doesn't violate any of the guidlines from what I can tell. Though I'm sure they can change the rules any time that want.

    "RoadbikeREVIEW.com Message Board Posting Guidelines"

Our mission is to help cycling enthusiasts and foster a healthy community. The message boards are the core of our community. As a result, we would appreciate it if people read and abide by these guidelines.

The RoadbikeREVIEW staff and volunteer moderators monitor the message boards, removing inappropriate content. The purpose of these guidelines is to explain what kind of messages are "inappropriate," and therefore will be deleted. We are explaining these guidelines beforehand, so if a message is removed everyone will understand why it was removed. In general, we err on the side of leaving messages up. The entire site is premised on sharing product information, so as one might imagine we are strong proponents of free speech. That being said, here are some specific reasons why we remove certain messages:

    1. The message insults or degrades another member of the community.
    2. The message contains profanity, offensive language, or racial epithets.
    3. The message is an advertisement or spam.
    4. The message contains obscene or pornographic images/photos/text/videos.
    5. The message promotes illegal activity (at our discretion).
    6. In addition to #3 above, please do not post Classified Ads/Want Ads/Trade Ads in the message board forum. Please post these in our Classifieds Section.
    7. The message is posted as "flame-bait" and is posted to incite flames and insults.
    8. The message has been posted to more than 2 boards. Posting the same message to multiple boards is spam, and all posts may be removed and the user may be banned. Please post to the most relevant board only, no more than 2.

In addition, as a courtesy to your fellow forum members, please follow these guidelines:

    1. Do not post race spoilers in the General Forum
    2. Do not post off-topic, socio-political posts in the General Forum (these should be posted in the Non-Cycling Discussion Forum or the Politics Only Forum)

Posting under multiple accounts is not allowed and users doing this may be banned. One or all accounts may be deleted, as may all posts under these accounts.

Threads that keep getting "bumped" back to the top with "hey, bumping this post back up" type posts will be locked. If you do not have anything new/informative to add to the post, please do not attempt to "bump" a thread just to keep it at the top.

A note about avatars and signature files: Inappropriate/obscene or distasteful avatars may be removed by us at any time. You may also be asked to change your avatar, should we deem the avatar to be inappropriate. Please do not post ads for bikes or parts in your forum signature, they are NOT allowed.

Unfortunately we must reserve the right to remove messages. However, we truly love this community, so we will only remove any given message if we judge that it's in the best interest of the community. Please feel free to ask questions or direct comments to us.

    Sincerely,

    Gregg Kato, Site Manager

He seems to think that posting quotes that he does not agree with is some how witty.

Maybe Rocco is on intellectual level that most of us just can't understand.

I must a admit that I'm very disappointed that he removed my quote from his signature. First time I had been quoted there. However, with a little research I think he could find that I've asked much dumber questions than "700 to 650"

Rocco, if you are looking for a good one, search post started by me asking about "drinking"
