    Gosnell: the verdict is in

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, was convicted of first-degree murder and could face execution in the deaths of three babies who authorities say were delivered alive and then killed with scissors at his grimy clinic, in a case that became a flashpoint in the nation's debate over abortion.
Gosnell was cleared in the death of a fourth baby, who prosecutors say let out a soft whimper before he snipped its neck.
Gosnell was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the drug-overdose death of a patient who had undergone an abortion.
Gosnell appeared hopeful before the verdict and calm afterward; jurors and lawyers on both sides were more emotional.
The jury will return Tuesday to hear evidence on whether Gosnell should get the death penalty.

Here's to hoping he gets the death penalty and it's carried out quickly. Maybe snip his spinal cord. That would be fitting. If the death penalty bothers you

don't think of it as a 'death sentence', think of it as a 280th-trimester medical procedure.

Snapping his neck would be too quick. Give him the scissors.

Planned Parenthood applauded the verdict on Monday, saying in a statement that "The jury has punished Kermit Gosnell for his appalling crimes."

"This verdict will ensure that no woman is victimized by Kermit Gosnell ever again," said Planned Parenthood spokesman Eric Ferrero. "This case has made clear that we must have and enforce laws that protect access to safe and legal abortion, and we must reject misguided laws that would limit women's options and force them to seek treatment from criminals like Kermit Gosnell."

Is "fair & balanced" Fox News featuring this important Planned Parenthood announcement?
I am 100% convinced the internet and social media are not the salvation to human civility.

Is Phildelphia so bereft of abortion clinics women were forced to seek treatment from Gosnell?

Planned Parenthood is speaking out of both sides of its mouth. Actions speak louder than words:

Planned Parenthood’s resistance to even basic health inspections and regulation in Virginia, any pretense of concern about real safety is also out the window.
For example, last year the Board of Health issued emergency regulations, over the strenuous objection of Virginia Planned Parenthood, requiring health inspections of Virginia abortion clinics for the first time in two decades. As a result, initial announced inspections of abortion clinics were performed this year and the reports have been obtained by the Virginia Family Foundation via a Freedom of Information request.

Planned Parenthood’s blind eye against shoddy abortion clinics including their own

Planned Parenthood clinic in Wilmington has temporarily closed its doors in the wake of allegations of “unsafe and unsanitary” conditions made by former nurses at the clinic…

In correspondence between the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Planned Parenthood, the state organization cited the clinic with two violations in February. According to the notification, “Health care employees performing tasks such as assisting with medical procedures and handling specimens were not trained in accordance with this item.” The other citation reads, “Employees were exposed to contaminated needles following the administration of multiple employee PPD Tests with standard, non-engineered tuberculin syringes.”

Mitchell-Werbrich, a veteran nurse, said she had never experienced working conditions like those at clinic before and reported the issues to Planned Parenthood. She said she contacted the Planned Parenthood president and CEO, as well as the vice president of medical services for the organization, but neither took action against the doctors or the staff.

At the Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia facility in Virginia Beach, the follow up inspection report states: (1) “Employee 6 failed to perform hand hygiene following a vaginal exam and terminating the products of conception. (2) At approximately 1:45 P.M. during the initial tour with Employee #1 and 2 exam room #6 was observed to have a small trash bin sitting on the floor with water in it. Employee #2 stated, ‘That is used to put speculums in after use.’ The bin was uncovered and a dead insect was floating inside. (3) Employee #7 picked up a group of instruments from the mat, placed them in the bin and covered them to carry to the clean utility room. She was asked to remove the cover. The speculum she stated was clean and ready to be autoclaved had dried blood on it.”

What, Planned Parenthood can't even agree with you?

There's just no pleasing some folks, I guess.

Yes there are - though putting him in a super-max wouldn't bother me much.

    talk about 'cold comfort.'

a probable mass-murderer and he gets convicted for three of them (when he likely got away with dozens, if not hundreds)!?
