    Hot, Hot, Hot

June 2016, the Hottest June Ever Recorded - The Atlantic

The GOP Vice-Presidential candidate, and a handful of internet trolls, need to find new talking points

since each of the last 14 months was the hottest version of that month ever recorded—the longest streak of its kind since global temperature records began in 1880.

I don't believe it! Temps in the DC area went up into the low 90s last week for a few days. Today temps back down in the comfortable 80s. Last night slept with the windows open, 68 degrees outside! So far, haven't really needed air conditioning except a few hours in the evening to cool the place down.

That old Polar Vortex is doing a great job. Gonna be cool tonight, too. Might have to get out a blanket.

sounds like you live so globally...tell us, what's it doing in India? Nairobi? Fairbanks?

Baked Alaska: Heat records shattered across state

looks like its cooling down up there soon though....but then again weather isn't climate. so there's that.

My friends in Albuquerque, NM, were "sweltering" in the 100 degree, dry, thin air a mile above sea level yesterday; cooled down to 77 tonight. It's 83 degrees and raining in Mumbai, India.

But just wait. Next week will get up to 100 degrees right here in river city.

the thread is about climate. not about the local temperature at a random place. If this were to be useful so would inhofe coming in with a snowball.

uhm no that cannot be concluded from it being hot whereever opus is. the same reason it cannot be concluded there is no global warming a random place is colder than normal. You give those claims credibility?
edited to include whole quote since i replied while it was being written apparently.
cannot be bothered to continue doing that.

What you wrote is nothing new. Everyone here knows the relationship between climate and and weather.

Hottest June on record. Getting hotter. Next June will likely be cooler. But it's getting hotter. Hot, hot, hot.

Which comes first? The climate or the weather?

which brings us back to my first post. so what that it's hot at a specific place. completely irrelevant and distracting for the actual topic.

Nothing can distract from climate change.

"May was the 13th month in a row to break temperature records according to figures published this week that are the latest in 2016’s string of incredible climate records which scientists have described as a bombshell and an emergency.

I figure the predicted heat in Chicago this week will kill a couple hundred people.
