Congratulations and happy to hear that everyone is doing fine. No need to remind you of your grandparental priority #1 - spoil the grandkids continuously but with impunity.

Everyone's fine, and you have two new grandkids to spoil? Great! A wonderful end and start to a new year for your family.

Yeah, but these are his GREAT grandchildren. I think there will be even more spoiling going on with even less impunity in this case.

The concept of great grandkids is just completely foreign to me. I am having a hard enough time dealing with the concept of kids, much less grandkids and great grandkids.

Enjoy the heck out of them. I know I enjoy my kids a ton, so grandkids and great grandkids can only be that much more fun since you don't actually have to raise them.

Walker? I was thinking wheelchair or bicycle with training wheels on it.

And the tax guy in me says:

Don't forget that those are two wonderful tax exemptions at the right time of the year. The parents get the exemptions on their tax return this year but only have to clothe, feed, and shelter the kids for a short period of time. Next year is the doozy.

Just got back from visit number two, they are all doing great and the room is full of grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts and so forth. Hispanic lineage and there is a bit of panic on their part as to eye color. Looking good for blue to win out so far but I think it takes a while to really know.

The parents will get one year for each kid! Two kids, two years of credit. But wait, they'll get two credits for each year! That's two kids, four years credits! Whoa.

Happy great grand parenthood, snake! How does it feel to be the patriarch of a whole tribe, cowboy, er, Chief?

Hispanic families are the awesome during these events. Every known relative seems to find their way over with gifts and mucho joy!
