Since you seem to admit that the Omniscient Free Market has declared the USA an untenable failure WRT employing people (we're too expensive). What exactly do you suggest we do about it?

Make flippant comments on forums and be angry and indignant that the very Free Markets that conservatives espoused for 3+ decades have deemed us unworthy? Blame immigrants for our problems?

Are you saying he should run for president? Because it sounds like you are telling him to run for president.

President davesupra, that has a nice ring to it.

So you recognize now that you were talking out of your a$$. It was very Trumpian, like the dead bald eagles he saw below a windmill or the thousands he watched celebrating after 9/11.

Well, Trump has truly democratized the POTUS office. Now no one is too myopic, vain, nepotistic, narcisstic, and just plain moronic to be POTUS.

Not a bicycle manufacturer per se but a kickstand maker is happy.
some remaining U.S. manufacturers said they welcome the recent tariff increase on Chinese imports.
    https://www.bicycleretailer.com/indu...e#.XNyGNqZS8Wo

But these tariffs are (a) designed to be temporary or (b) are really going to fock things up for years.

No manufacturer is going to invest millions based on Trump ideas, he has a new policy idea every time he watches Fox. Trump has manufactured nothing but his own image. don't forget, "Trade Wars are easy to win"
    he said
    ‘INSURANCE FOR EVERYBODY’
    ‘NO CUTS … TO MEDICAID’
    ‘NO ONE WILL LOSE COVERAGE’
‘NOBODY WILL BE WORSE OFF FINANCIALLY’
    GET RID OF ARTIFICIAL LINES’
‘EVERYBODY’S GOING TO BE TAKEN CARE OF’
    https://www.politico.com/story/2017/...romises-236021

Before saying "Nobody knew health care could be so complicated' https://edition.cnn.com/2017/02/27/p...ted/index.html
everybody except the people that thought he could fix it and believed him. Still haven't seen any Trump insurance, plan have you? Oh there was that memo that would have cut 24 million off Onbama care.

While Trump's loyal followers push lies about made up American bike makers the industry is angry.

"the ongoing trade war and higher tariffs will devastate one of the nation's strongest industries, which is a major contributor to the growing $887 billion outdoor recreation economy and makes up over 2 percent of U.S. GDP."
"If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment.”

In addition to backing off Europe car tarriff Trump also caved on Canada and Mexico......then spun it as a win.

His idiot groupies will pretend he "won" and ignore the fact that

    *Trump was forced to do this by the Senate;
*Trump imposed these tariffs in the first place and got no concessions whatsoever from their imposition.

Trade wars are easy to "win" when you surrender and pretend that you won.

It’s been the recurring theme of his “presidency”.

    Screw something up
    Cobble together a half-assed solution
Declare victory that you’ve fixed the (your own) problem

    So much winning

Trump's tariffs mean a $2,200 tax hike on the average family of three
