    Trump*s Greenland New Deal

And in the latest distraction to pull attention away from this s#itshow of a presidency and administration:

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...nland-n1042966

"President Donald Trump has on multiple occasions discussed trying to buy the country of Greenland, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
Trump has with "varying degrees of seriousness" expressed an interest in trying to purchase the icy 811,000-square-mile island in the North Atlantic, according to the Journal, citing unnamed sources familiar with the deliberations."

I want to know who the dude that put the idea into that idiots head.

Was Trump all like, "I am going to nuke Switzerland!" And his advisor needed a quick distraction and off the top of his head came up..."Have you heard Greenland us up for sale?"

I had forgotten that Truman tried to buy it for $100 million back in the day. Even with something this ridiculous, Trump* can’t find a new idea...

He’s had worse ideas, but the Danes aren’t exactly planning to sell. Plus, the native population has been pushing for more autonomy if not full independence.

Don't worry, Mexico will pay for it.

Wouldn't that be Iceland? Pretty sure that tRump couldn't find Greenland on a map. He is probably just going off the name and thinks they must have nice beaches like North Korea.
Just because you won't listen to reason does not mean I have to listen to idiocy.

Trump could always say Greenland was purchased, and then move on to the next distraction. Some people would believe it.

Isn't China vying for influence there to exploit their natural resources?

Btw, "Shaft in Greenland" is a very underrated Dead Milkmen song.

Most people in Greenland are Inuits- not exactly tall and blond. Ethnic Danes are around 10% of the population. Not that I would expect Trump to know that.

I'm trying to figure this one out; there's very few white people there, and most of them don't even speak English.

conveniently located between the US and Russia (which is why the US has (had?) bases there). And with the water opening up all-year soon it will be an important ship route.

Made even more confusing by the fact that our president has stated time and again that climate change is fake.

It, with Alaska, would bookend the east and west entrances to the Northwest Passage, wouldn't it?

If you lived there you could see Russia from your house.

It's also the bigliest island on earth.
