    Yet another right wing terrorist

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fbi-...ry?id=65802902

discussed plans to bomb a major American news network,
suggested targeting Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke.
and the possibility of killing members of the group Antifa.
In suggesting that the headquarters of the major news network could be a target, Smith allegedly said: "A large vehicle bomb. Fill a vehicle full of [explosives] then fill a ping pong ball with [commonly available chemical] via drilling then injection. Put the ball in the tank of the vehicle and leave. 30 minutes later, BOOM."

What is this "antifa" anyway?? It's not an organized group from what I can tell, just the label that right wingnuts have slapped on anybody who dares criticize fascism.

How is O'Rourke even a threat? WTF is that even about??

Everything about this rollercoaster of an administration is deeply draining.

Antifa is an actual anti-fascist movement, with some amount of roots in Europe (you know, the birthplace of modern fascism). In the spirit of GWB's "If you're not with us, you're a terrorist," the alt-right has deemed anyone to the political left of them as "anti fascist."

If you say your enemies are anti-fascist...to me, that's admitting that you yourself are actually a fascist.

The thing is..."Antifa" in the USA was just a boogey-man invented by the Breitbarts to panic about. Much like the "Deep State" conspiracy, or the "Caravan" National Emergency.

Well, there were small groups in the United States waving the Antifa flag at some of those counterprotests, as an opposition to the actual Nazis and Klansmen... they're not completely fabricated by the right-wing media. But, the Alt-Right has been linked to 100 or more deaths, and actual Antifa only has a few bouts of fisticuffs and a milkshake to their name.

Yes, they show up when fascists and fascist sympathizers do their thing. Counterprotesting requires a protest in the first place.

A few of them, sure. But the playbook from election day until now has been to call everyone who protests against Trump "antifa". Same basic playbook as Dubya Bush--make a bogeyman out of oppoistion and question their patriotism.

Yep. If you label all of your opponents "anti fascist," does that mean that you're labelling yourself as a fascist?

Another far right terrorist attacks at synagogue. This time in Germany. Two dead.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/live-s...-on-yom-kippur

The idiot live-streamed it and talked in English. The “root of all problems are the Jews.” etc. A lot of the same rhetoric spewed by the American Right.

Supremely ironic, given that "The Base" in Arabic is "al Qaeda"

German far right arrests reveal 'shocking' mosque attack plot

    https://news.yahoo.com/german-far-ar...115756435.html

Members of a German extreme right group arrested last week were believed to have been plotting "shocking" large-scale attacks on mosques similar to the ones carried out in New Zealand last year, a government spokesman said Monday.

Officials said that investigations into 12 men detained in police raids across Germany Friday had indicated they planned major attacks, following media reports over the weekend the group aimed to launch several simultaneous mass-casualty assaults on Muslims during prayers.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/25/u...-shooting.html
A man suspected of planning to attack a Missouri hospital was killed during a shootout with F.B.I. agents, the authorities said on Wednesday.

The deadly encounter took place on Tuesday afternoon in suburban Belton, Mo., after agents on a tactical team tried to arrest the man as part of a domestic terrorism investigation.

It was not clear whether the man was killed by F.B.I. agents or died by suicide. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials identified the man as Timothy R. Wilson, 36.

According to officials, Mr. Wilson had expressed racist and anti-government sentiments. He had been under F.B.I. scrutiny since September, and the authorities said that at one point he had considered attacking multiple targets, including a school with a large number of black students, as well as a mosque and a synagogue.

“Wilson considered various targets and ultimately settled on an area hospital in an attempt to harm many people, targeting a facility that is providing critical medical care in today’s environment,” the F.B.I. said in a statement.

Last week, Belton’s mayor issued a stay-at-home order for its residents. Authorities said Mr. Wilson said he felt compelled to act because of the mayor’s order and intended to use a car bomb to cause mass casualties at the hospital.

The F.B.I. is reviewing the shooting, as is standard anytime agents are involved in shootings.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were eight known cases of the coronavirus in suburban areas of Cass County, Mo., which includes Belton. The Belton police have also had to issue a statement about false information on social media.

I refuse to believe that ad is real. I won't allow myself to believe that type of fear mongering works.

Messages like those don't "work" because they make people afraid.

They "work" because they make a candidate's racial politics clear.
