TdF '20 Stage 13 Sep 11 Discussn Thread Spoiler Alert

This stage is more than hilly; it is mountains, but not quite a ride over an Alp. Still a rough course; there are seven summits where points are up for grabs. This includes the final climb, Puy Mary Pas de Payrol.and long - 115 miles. Also, long - 115 miles.

Everyone is hoping to see some serious payrol up here. After the penultimate peak, Cote d'Aglards, it is nearly 20 miles up a gradual slope to this final summit, with a steep section at the very end.

Lots of terrain to work with for a breakaway. We will definitely see a lot of accordion-ing on this stage. This stage may actually provide some serious separation between GC contenders. Egan has had back problems that supposedly per his comments are getting better as he recovers, day by day. We may see whether he might be a TdF winning repeater, or whether his back will do him in.

Sagan will see a lot of points on the course in his final opportunity to get the green.

Let's see if the peloton will give the break the time to win.

Bardet has abandoned the Tour with a possible/likely concussion.

    What a great stage!
Martinez, out-numbered 2 to 1, took it home today, great ride.
Bernal lost 30-something seconds today, ouch. He didn't look that bad, just don't why he wasn't the towards the front when Roglic and Pogacar attacked, or maybe he was, the stream I was watching was glitchy as hell.
In reference to the Assault on Mt Mitchell...

Epic stage. Dang, Martinez is strong. Bernal shouldn't have talked trash about rearranging the GC. I heart Pogacar.
