WTF Dish Network and TdF coverage?!?

Got to love tuning in for the afternoon broadcast of today's stage on NBC Sports channel, and getting the Univision World Cup feed.

    Vamos Belgica!

Yeah, noticed that as well. WTF is up with NBCSports? I've got the live coverage DVRed, but figured I could catch the end of the stage and I get soccer. Why?

And to make matters worse, Iíve got the cycling package for Gold because I like to watch races when Iím riding indoors. I had been watching Paris-Nice but now all the previous yearsí races have disappeared with the exception of TdF 2017.

WTF? That's just wrong. Are they trying to kill the sport over here?

Just got done watching the full coverage broadcast and it looks like the switch to Telemundo's World Cup coverage was planned...Dish just didn't have it on their guide. Still though...Spanish broadcast of a single event?

I don't have Dish and not sure how it works, but perhaps they thought they could draw more commercial money with the soccer game vs. a bicycle stage race? Not sure if they show commercials or not though.

Not just Dish. I recorded the later show on Uverse and had the same thing.

Noticed the same thing. Reading their fine print replays are only available for current subscription year which just started in July. Looks like they are giving us last years tour as a gift. I could see if you were not a subscriber last year but I was.

Happened again today and was definitely planned from what they said when they signed off. I agree not only Spanish language broadcast, but the commercials are also in Spanish.

Saw that. I watched the Telemundo feed yesterday, but Fox feed today. My high school Spanish from the 80's is not as strong as I remembered.

Yeah, no kidding, although my high school Spanish is from the early 90's. My recent lessons in Spanish thanks to my Spanish friends is more reading and writing vs being able to understand it when spoken. Plus my current Spanish vocabulary is mostly cycling related.
