    '85 Eddy Corsa Extra

Certainly not original as it had a repaint by the former owner. One concession to riding the hills = the chainset is 48/34 from VeloOrange. This is my 2nd Corsa Extra and 1cm smaller than the previous one, it's about as good as a fit gets.

Very nice. I am waiting for the right steel retro to come along. High on my list is a MERCKX 7-11

I have looked at those cranks, what are you running in the rear and how are the flats and declines.

I have several wheelsets. I think one is 13/21 up to 14/26. Haven't tried a freewheel with a 28 cog on this setup. Flats are fine. Not sure my top speed spinning hard on a gentle descent, but fast enough for me.

Sorry I can't be precise with speeds = no computer on this bike.
A gear inch calculator is your friend, if you want better numbers for cadence&speed.

My vintage rides are not my choice for a fast-paced workout.
If a faster top speed was a high priority, a modern drivetrain would be the solution - at least for me.

The primary reason for the VO drillium was for bling - my previous EM Corsa Extra had chrome fork & stays - this one needed more shiny.
edit: here's the previous Corsa Extra.

In 1985 the Corsa Extra was not yet produced. In 1984-1986 the Pro model (SLX or 753) was built. The Corsa Extra was launched in the summer of 1986. The Z Series marks the frames from summer 1984 to autumn 1986.
