'88 Pinarello Treviso Cross... any 4-1-1?

As is my usual MO, I jumped first and am asking questions second. I just bought this Pinarello cross frame & fork on Ebay. Seller says it is an '88, with Columbus "Tretubi" tubing. Wanted to know if anyone would tell me something about the model or even the Tretubi. I plan to make it into a commuter with Shimano bits from my bin. Sad not to go Campy, but all my spare bits are Shimano, and the frame is coming with Shimano headset & brakes. Thanks in advance.

    The color is bright.

Don't know anything specific though. I like the way it looks though.

    Roger that

I'm fully now-tro on my mainstay road bike, but I like these lugs, the lime green paint, chromed chain stay... its all good. I think.

I'm pretty sure "tretubi" indicates that the tubing is triple butted. Which type of Columbus it is, however, beyond me.

    It is bright.

Tretubi means the three main tubes are of a similar steel while the stays are something else.

In this case you probably have three main tubes of SL while the stays are likley straight guage, probably Aelle.

This would make sense given it is a CX frame.

I am jealous. I have been looking for an old, all steel CX frame.
