    Bianchi Superleggera Score

I've been picking up a bunch of cool bikes recently, but unfortunately they've all been too small or too big. It's great finding cool bikes like this 1981 Bianchi Superleggera, but I sure do wish it was a 58cm. It's a mix of Campy and 600. I love celeste green, so classic. Not bad for $40, eh? And before anyone asks, I already sold it to a great girl who wanted to upgrade. And yes, she's keeping it as is.

Oh, and I turned the bars down before I gave it to her. Forgot the do that before the photos.

I found this one at an auction, but I frequent the same usual places any other bike fanatic does- like thrift stores, yard sales, and CL.

This was a thrift store auction, actually, but police auctions can be fruitful as well. I'll be really happy when I pick one of these up in a 58cm.

That seatpost is worth $40 by itself! Amazing find...

I'm glad to hear that the current owner plans to keep it as it is. I'm no bike snob but I cringe when I see a beautiful bike (like this Bianchi) stripped of all its parts when converted to a fixed gear.

    What size is it, BTW?

Thanks doughboy! And I completely agree with you- I like the nice road bikes to stay nice road bikes. It's a 52cm.
