    Fake or Real?

A 30th Anniversary Colnago Master on Ebay. Looks like a repainted GT Edge on first glance but other pics show engraving of the Colnago logo. Signature is an obvious reproduction. My guess is real but I've never seen that rear triangle on a Colnago before. Not my cup of tea but interesting nontheless.

    Real

I have 2 friends with similar frames but they must be a little later than this one ...... both have chrome right chainstay/dropouts, head lugs and straight blade forks. Different decals (not Master, more like Super with white bands) but with Gilco tubing. From what I know their models are called Equilateral's and the eBay bike might be a prototype or an earlier issue of the same frames. One of my mates bought his with what appears original parts (C-Record) and that would date it at '85/6 to about '88.

I remember a Shogun frame with similar stay treatment from around 1984 and there were a few English makers who were building such style stay attachments since the late 50's.

I think I remember the marketing materials for one of the Shoguns, GTs, and Nashbars with this triple triangle design saying they had "Colnago-style triple triangle frame design."
