Old Specialized Cleats (For Toe Clip / Strap Pedals) Needed

Looking for a pair of cleats such as those that came with old Specialized road shoes back in the days before clipless pedals became the norm. Anyone have an old pair of these lying around, preferably with bolts?

    Thanks...

Did Specialized ever make cleats? Usually cleats are unique to each pedal manufacturer, and Specialized never made pedals to my knowledge.

Yeah, they made wedge-shaped cleats that were meant for toe clip/strap setups common in the 1980s. These were sold in the same box as their shoes, and could be bought separately at bike shops when replacements were needed. We're talking 1987ish stuff, here.

Ah, Specialized DID make pedals, too! ;-)

It's nice to know that someone else is using these old things. I believe the Specialized cleats you are looking for where the single bolt variety that was commonly used in Duegi (my favorite), Diadora and yes, Schwinn Paramount shoes (these were actually made by Duegi as well). The more popular (SIDI) version had two bolts. Alas, I was using my Duegi's well into the '90s when my Duegi cleats were just a nub. I actually wrote to the Duegi in Italy and asked if they had any spare cleats and they replied "Thanks for you interest in our shoes, unfortunately we are no longer making cleats for your shoe. Please enjoy our new catalog" or something like that.

I have an old pair of SIDI with cleats for when I ride my 1986 Specialized Allez SE, with tubulars of course.

I appreciate your reply. If you have some that are in good enough repair, I know a fella who will 3D print some and send yours back... ;-)
