    current standard forks?

For models in the last 5 years, are included forks always F1/F2 forks? Mine came with alpha q, I was wondering if it was standard, superior/inferior. I thought I read F1/2 is based on ouzu pro.

The F1 was discontinued more than 5 years ago, 2001-2002 IIRC. The F2 and O2 Serotta forks were built by Reynolds to Serotta's specs. Starting in about 2006 Serotta offered their F3 fork, of their own design and later also manufactured by them.

Forks were offered by Serotta but were not required to purchase a frame. Many buyers bought just a frame and supplied a fork of their choice. The Alpha Q is considered a good fork.

The F3 is excellent, it's the top of their line. The F3s are manufactured by Serotta in their carbon composites factory in Poway, California, the same facility that makes the carbon tubing for their bikes. The dropouts are titanium.
