    Anyone using Conti GP5000 tl

I have tried them and after maybe 6 weeks I cut the back tire. I replaced it and within 2 weeks I cut that one also. Both times I had to put a tube in it to get home. I have never cut a GP 4000. That is the reason I went the the 5000 when I went tubeless.

Is there a problem with them or is it just me having a run of bad luck?

    Thanks

Could be bad luck. I went 17 years without a flat, now I've had several within the past 3 months.

I've got GP 5000 TL on my race wheels and so far so good. If you are cutting your tire, you may need to watch out for road debris better. If cutting the sidewall: had you crashed recently?

17 months would be epic...17 years is Guiness book stuff.

    Here's my PSA:

I hope everybody on this thread remembers the unwritten rule about discussing the things that are being discussed here today.

For obvious reasons, I think it's best for me if I don't write or speak the rule here. But I will tell you, it has the word "jinx" in it.

Let's see, for me that would be about 165,000 miles without a flat. Not. In. This. World.

In all fairness, 15 of those 17 years saw very little riding. Probably about 3 months worth in those 15 years.

In all fairness.... why would you knowingly post such an absurd claim.

Yes, do not use the 'f' word.

Haven't had a flat in 17 years? Hell, I can top that. I haven't had any radiation leaks from interstellar travel on the last 40 years.

Well in that case, I've never had a flat on the bike I never ride. Top that!

I have 'a friend' who had the same condom last about 3 years in his early teens.
