    hookles rims

i am primarily mountain biker and don t follow road bike trends but i am in market for new road wheels and noticed some roadrims now come hookles.
it is pretty much standard in mtb world nowadays but it is new for me in road bike wheels and i am wandering how safe it is with high pressures that road tires inflate to. do hookless rims take standard tires meant for clinchers or special tires?
    thanks

It *can* work for road, but you have to have the rim perfectly designed and be *very* specific in your tire selection and pressure.

We still recomend hooked for high pressure, low volume and hookless for high volume, low pressure.

The consequences of a hookless rim not working with a road tire can be quite bad.
