Tubeless isn't the problem....He chose probably the most fragile of tubeless tires anywhere to start with. What is more--there were a ton of flats that day....in addition to all the people gambling on the gutters being smoother to race on--only to crash into the gutter wall and endo.

I see those roads, they make me think of My Fair City's streets...and a 32+mm tubeless tire is a better pick than any 25mm. Particularly Vittoria's fragile roads-are-immaculate-and-perfect racing tires.

and all the riders who flatted on tubulars proves what?
Dr. Cox: Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard fillings. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
