Rims -- Velocity Quill - Polished vs h Plus Sons Archetype??

I'm looking to have a polished wheel set built. These two rims seems to be good options. Both tubeless, unfortunately. What say the hive?

The H Plus Son Archetype is not tubeless ready and I wouldn't bother trying to use it tubeless. The H Plus Son Hydra is tubeless ready, but I don't see a polished version available. I hope this helps you make up your mind.

H + Son Archetype hands down. Personally, I would avoid anything Velocity.

I have had trouble-free miles with my Velocity wheelset and their customer service is great.
Bad press is not true for current products IMHO.

I've had three Velocity rim failures in 150K miles. All cracks at spoke holes (slow failures). Does that make them unreliable?

It depends. If you got 50K miles out of each, they don't owe you anything at that point. I'm surprised your brake tracks lasted that long.

H plus rims a super solid, If you want another good option look at the Kinlin . Several nice polished rims in different heights. and they are label free I'm getting ready to build a set using the XR22 or XR26 from BikeHub store Kinlin Road Rims

The Quills are super wide. You might have pad clearance issues if you are on rim brakes.
