    What do you recommend?

I am building up a Litespeed Ultimate Road and looking for recommendations on a wheel-set. I was initially set on the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon UST howeer upon reading some reviews on this forum it seems they are not recommended due to proprietary parts.

I'm looking for carbon, tubeless ready, disk, and 40-50 mm deep. I'd like to spend around $1600.00 but would be willing to spend more if its really worth it. I am not interested in going custom or from no-name Chinese manufactures.

I was also looking at the Reynolds AR41x and Industry Nine i9 45 carbon disk although I9 is really on the edge of my budget. What do you folks recommend? Does Reynolds make good wheels or should I look elsewhere.

    THANKS

You are going to run into proprietary parts with I9's and Reynolds as well.
    You can't fix stupid.

And you'll have $$$ left over for tires, cassette, and rotors.

Personally, I think the Bontrager Aeolus and the Specialized Roval carbon wheels are among the best out there. Some dealers even carry them in stock vs having to go the mail-order route.

A set of Boyd Carbon Rims or Alto Cycling carbon rims with the hub of your choice.
